catcodec software package provides tool to decode/encode the sample catalogue for OpenTTD, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install catcodec
catcodec is installed in your system.
Make ensure the catcodec package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep catcodec *
You will get with catcodec package name, version, architecture and description in a table
